I had an awesome Mother's Day again this year. Lillyn was dedicated @ Northwoods Community Church this day aswell. It was a very good service. So glad it is done and we, of course hope our girls make the decision to live a godfull life and choose to be baptised when the time comes. Bryan and I, both wished the service was a little more personal w/ Pastor Cal as it was for Adelyn's, but there were 18 children being dedicated this time. ((big)) Lilly did very well. She didn't cry @ all. We are grateful it was short and see b/c she doesn't stay quiet for long. After the dedication we took Lilly down to the discoveryland. Bryan and I got to enjoy the entire service w/ no children interrupting. After the service Sherri had a luncheon and cake, which was amazingly good. Great family and great conversation, it was a wonderful day. Not alot to report, just enjoying our kids while they are young. We are ready for sweet summertime as the pool calls our names.

Easter 2011
Easter was more relaxed than previous years this year. We ended up missing church (we were not happy about this- rough morning for B) so we headed over to my parents to help prepare the food and hide all 380 eggs throughout the yard/woods for all the kids. This is a Peterson family tradition. the kids LOVE it. we ate a late lunch there and headed over to Mike and Sherri's. Had a wonderufl meal there and Adelyn hunted money eggs and they both opened their easter basket stuff. it was a nice day! Hope everyone had a great Easter. I'm having a big garage sale May 20th. Lots of baby stuff to get rid off. We have accumulated lots of stuff since we moved in 2 years ago on May 21st! I am starting to prepare for the girls birthdays @ the end of June. Lots to do still. Lillyn is beinfg dedicated to the Lord on Mother's Day, May 8th. We are having a luncheon and cake @ my inlaws afterward. BTW- thanks for that Sherri. I am also the captain of the Illinois Cancer Care Race for the Cure Team. So Saturday May 7th the girls and myself will be wakling in the race. Pray for no rain!!! Summer is upon us and our lives will soon get much busier. BTW- I love working 4 tens. AMAZING!!! I will update again after Lil's dedication! Love you all

March16th

The girls are doing fabulous! Adelyn had a well child check and she is right on target. She is now only 50th percentile for her heighth now. ( I was saying little prayers that she wouldn't be a giant child- LOL) She is very advanced per Dr. Becker as far as ABC,'s, counting in both English and Spanish, and recognizing colors. Of course we like to think that she is smart, but it's always nice to hear our Dr state that she above average. Adelyn still enjoys eating. Or should I say snacking? She asks for a snack probably 5 times in just the evening alone. She's my good eater. She had to get her little finger pricked @ the dr as well. She wasn't in favor of that in the least bit. We took her to Target and bought her a toy afterwards to make her owie feel better. Adelyn is very onry, but such a sweet girl at times. She (Bryan) called me this morning on their way to daycare to tell me good morning and she loves me. :)Lilly is doing all sorts of new things. She is crawling backwards like crazy. Hasn't quite gotten the frontwards way down yet, but that'll be very soon. She is really into babbling these day. Still very needy of my attention, but I'm okay with that. She has recently started rocking her head back and forth to the beat of music. It's really cute. She has again graduate to the next size up carseat. She thoroughly enjoys seeing out the window. She is much quieter in the car.
I got news from work that I will start working 4 ten hour days! I am very excited about this. My new hours will be 6:30 AM until 5:00PM. I do not get off until 5:00Pm currently and Bryan will take the girls to Kim's around 8:30AM as he does now. So it will not be much of a change for them except they will only have to go to Kimmy's 3 times a week. I am very grateful. God has provided abundants for us!
A couple of weekends ago we took the girls swimming @ a hotel . I can definetly say this summer at the swimming pool will be a blast w/ these two. They are BOTH waterbabies! I LOVE this b/c I fully enjoy swimming aswell.
Today it is absolutely beautiful outside! I am heading out of work @ 3:30, off to get the girls, and we will squeeze in my playtime outside before I have my Thirty-One bags/totes party tonight!
Think SPRING! :) Happy St. Patty's day to everyone! ( I will post pics of the girls in their "green" outfits sometime later this week or next.)

Is it Summer yet?

In our house, summer cannot come soon enough. Adelyn definetly has cabin fever. She has asked me the past three evening if we can go outside to play. It is still a little too chilly out, but hopefully (?) soon it will not be. We really enjoy playing outside.
Bryan brought the girls out to visit me at work for lunch today. Adelyn was the center of attention. She has recently started the stranger danger, but after she warms up people see her little personality. Bryan was thrilled b/c all of the women were pumping Addy full of candy.
Lilly was showing off her almost crawling skills. I suspect she will be full fledge crawling by the end of this month. She is so close. She gets herself on all fours and rocks back and forth. She hasn't figured out yet how to moved her legs forward.
Lilly had her first tooth pop through Sunday evening (feb 20th). She really did better with it that I anticipated. Not many cries and the norm, only woke up for a bottle. Yes, you read that correct... she still doesn't sleep through the night. Bryan and I REALLY look forward to that day she does. On Friday she will be eight months old, so we're hoping it happens soon. ?!?!?!?
She has also mastered eating babyfood now. That actually took quite some time for her to get used too. Vegetables are not her favorite, but fruits are.
Adelyn has such a sweet personality. She's very caring towards her sister when she is crying. She also enjoys taking toys away from her. Lilly has learned quickly to cry and big sister will bring them back.
I enjoy so much wathcing them interact with eachother. That's all for this week.

Our Little Valentine's
It's mid February already. Time seems to be flying right past us, as always. Lillyn and Adelyn each received balloons and stuff animals from Bryan yesterday. Adelyn, especially enjoyed this. We had them all decked out in their Valentine apparel for the day. I must say, they both looked so cute. We also got heart cookies and little Shrek (anyone who knows Addy, knows she LOVES Shrek) valentine's for each of the kids @ Kim's house. Lilly of course is too small to understand, but we included her as well. That's it for now!

February 2011

Well we're finally back on blogspot, family and friends! I know some people (esp family who don't live in Peoria) were a little disappointed when I stopped updating this blog. Well I have found time in our busy schedules to update again. I hope to continue to update weekly, but I cannot make any promises.
Adelyn and Lillyn are doing well. Lilly is 7 1/2 months old already! I know, it just doesn't seem possible. She has really started to develop her own personality and it's amazing. She is quite spoiled (when it comes to Mommy). She definetly enjoys my attention, to the point that if she looses sight of me, she starts crying. Most evening, I cook dinner with her on my hip, pick up the house with her on my hip, do laundry with her up my hip, and so on. It's a hard habit to break and I figure she's my last baby and this time I cannot take back. She is VERY close to crawling. She has started scooting her little bottom around to get to what she wants. I suspect by the end of February she will be all over the place. Adelyn will really enjoy when she is mobile. Addy keeps asking when she will start moving. Lilly is at a really fun stage and we're enjoying every moment of her growing up.
Adelyn has quite the personality. She has such a sweet sense to her, but she also has an orny side. Lately we have been seeing quite a bit of the onry side. She's recently started having a tough time with sharing our attention. I have been told this is very common within 2 year olds. She really enjoy her TV shows and movies. Sometimes a little too much for my likings. It is winter time though, as Spring draws near we will venture outdoors more often. We are in the middle of potty training with Addy and I must say this has been the most difficult task with her yet. I knew it would be, but at times it becomes VERY frustrating. I feel like she's ready to graduate to no diapers and big girl panties, but she ends up ripping them off and having accidents on the floor. This past week she has been having accidents on purpose just to get our attention. We are trying to discourage that, but this is part of the process, I hear. The best part of my day with Adelyn is when we lay her down at night and we say prayers together. She crosses her little hands, we say our prayer together and she then asks us to keep praying. We go through the WHOLE list of our families and friends. It ends up to be quite a long prayer (considering we both come from big families), but it is literally music to my ears to hear her talk to Jesus and inquire us to talk to Jesus more as she listens. A couple weeks ago, I shopped her hair off into a little bob witht he back stacked up. This hairstlye makes her look SO much older. It took some getting used too at first, but now I am very glad I did it. I will not continue to keep cutting it. My goal was for it to grow back all one length and thicker hopefully. Our girls are definetly the high lights of our days.
Bryan and I are doing well. Both trying to fight off colds right now, but tis the season, right? I am still employed with ILCC and still enjoy my job very much. I would typically like to work part time, but in order to provide more for our girls, I need to work full time.
Bryan has changed professions as most of you probably know. He had been thinking for quite some time that the food business was not something he wanted to do for the remainder of his career. He decided in Sept 2010 that he wanted to return to Rent-A-Center. He made the move late September and enjoys being back there. There have been some bumps in the road, but this is life. His hours aren't good at all, but this is what we have to deal with. He is off 1 day during the week and every Sunday. Adelyn especially looks forward to staying home with her daddy 1 day during the week. She is very much so Daddy's little girl. She prefers Bryan over me, which is ok. I am very glad they have an awesome relationship. Sunday is OUR family day, which I find myself counting down the days during the week which lead up to Sunday. I know it's like I'm couting my life away, I just really enjoy spending 1 whole day a week with our girls and Bryan.
I had better sign off for the week and I will return next week.
We are looking forward to a "warmer" weekend!!! :)
Love,
Bryan, Erin, and the girls!
