the holiday officially starts this weekend for us.

If all goes well with the weather we will be heading down towards St. Louis this weekend to celebrate Christmas with Bryan's moms side of the family. We haven't been down since last April.. so we are past due. PLUS they get to meet our baby girl for the 1st time. We are really excited! I am praying they get this ice storm cleared up by Saturday morning so we can go?!?! We really enjoy going down and being with all the Highlanders.. We have so much fun. Plus we get to see Bryan's cousin Susie who is pregnant with twins! I am ready to touch a pregnant belly again! :) I (secretly) miss being pregnant. (gosh don't tell B i said that) I miss walking into a store and people being so nice... hold the door, smile @ you and glance @ your belly, talk to you about expecting, etc. People are soo nice to pregnant people. (well atleast to me they were) I loved that!
Last night we went shopping for the family that we adopted for the holiday season. We bought the little girls some clothes and some toys.... then we bought the mom some clothes. I figured the least we could do was give to the less fortunate since we are more than fortunate. The little girls are 10 and 11 and i hope we picked out things they like. It was difficult for me to buy for that age since i havent ever bought for that age before. I hope this makes their Christmas a little brighter b/c it has mine being able to give to them.
Well I'm off to get back to work.

boy the weekends just fly by

I can finally say ((( WE HAVE ALL OF OUR CHRISTMAS SHOPPING DONE)))Yeah I am sooo glad. :) It has been crazy @ the stores. Like a mad house. Well Grandma Sherri and Mike made if home from Vegas safely. They said they had a good time. And we forgot to say on here.. Happy late bday grandma (on dec 9th)!!! Adelyn went and spend a couple ours w/ gma and gpa buxton yesterday so bryan and I could finish up the shopping. It was weird not having her w/ us @ the stores. She loves to go to walmart to see all the colorful things. She never makes a peep when we are there.

Well we had a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend. Friday night we didnt do much. We went over to gma and gpa Buxtons and had pizza. Saturday we had kind of a poopey day. (literally) we woke up and played for a while. Then met my mom and cousin and aunt @ Kellahers for lunch. That was a nice time. and congrats to my cousin April who got engaged a couple weeks ago. She is getting married 10-24-09 and I am one of her bridesmaids. I am excited about that. :) She is on top of the world and we are sooo happy for her. Then after lunch we went over to Kohl's and did some shopping. We got some awesome deals. The stores were so dang busy b/c they deals were unbelievable. Then sat night we had Sherri's bday dinner @ their house. She made some great food. Bryan was in heaven. Then after that we went to my parents for a while b/c we hadnt seen them in about a week. Bryan got to play with Bryson and of course Adelyn got some Peterson lovin as she always does. She loves her cousin Bryson. she watches him like crazy. she loves her cousin Austin too who is @ the same babysitter as her. He watches over her! :)

Then on sunday B had to work in the AM then we went shopping and adelyn went to the grandparents for a couple hours and that's about it. It was a really enjoyable weekend. now we're back to another work week. less than 2 weeks until santa makes his rounds. I am ready for christmas ...soooo ready. this coming weekend we are headed down to Highland for xmas w/ then. we are super excited for Adelyn to meet all her family down there. Then on sunday on the way home we are stopping in Emden for xmas there as well. BUSY weekend for us. well i dont have much else to report. Just staying warm and being w/ our family. Our big girl

She is now sitting up on her own. She just started last night and did it forever. it was so cute! :)

we have been so busy lately. Mondays are always crazy for me b.c I have class until 7:00PM. Then Tuesday we had our pics taken for x-mas. Ended up going to dinner afterwards. So we didnt get home until about 8:00PM. (long day) Last night we went and saw Bryan's mom b/c they leave for Vegas soon so we had dinner with them and hung out by the xmas tree. (which adelyn loves) tonight i have to go to my moms and find an "ugly old sweater" for my bunco group. I am so excited for BUnco. Once a month our group gets together and plays bunco, have some drinks, and just hang out with the girls. FUN! then after my moms house, we have to run to the store to find a White Elephant gift for a gift exchange @ work. ( i am supposed to be creative) Ha not me! then we are finally going home. THEN mark (bryan's dad) is coming over for a while to visit Adelyn. Then tomorrow I have mommies night out BUNCO. Then saturday we have dinner w/ family. Then Sunday we have Laila's bday party and something else, but i cannot think of what it is. HMM .. maybe xmas shopping!! Lots to do w/ so little time. Most importantly we cant get too busy not to enjoy our baby who is growing oh so fast.

Real quick.. a HUGE congrats to Bryan's cousins Susie & Brad who are expecting twin boys in April!!!!! YEAH!! we are soo happy for them. Everyone stay warm and enjoy the holiday season. (i know we sure are) Sis ( what i call Adelyn) loves all the xmas decor in the house.

Also one more thing... lets all remember to support and pray for our troops during this holiday season while they are seperated from their familes.

growing liked a weed

Her First Thanksgiving was great. It went by VERY quick b/c we had 3 places to go, but it was very nice. At the end of the day Bryan said to me, "today went by sooo quick" and I said i know when we have 3 places to be and one being 45 mins away each way our day almost goes right by us. It is hard to enjoy the day w/ so many places to go. Altough Christmas is going to be nice b/c Christmas Eve is with my family and christmas day we will have brunch @ our house in the morning, stay home and enjoy our daughter for her 1st Christmas, stop in @ my parents and say hello and then off to Bryan's moms. It wont be soo hectic this year. Bryan and I made a pact now that she is hear, that we are going to spend more time @ our own home w/ our daughter on Christmas. @ the end of the day on Thanksgiving we were all exhausted. Adelyn was very cranky from being passed around and she was so tired. she slept all night. The busy day wore her out. It was very nice though. We really enjoy the holidays!

I never realiazed how fast life is flying by until we had Adelyn. She is doing something different everyday. It is so amazing to watch her grow and form her own personality. She is so happy all the time. It seems as if she smiles all day long. She rairly gets upset. (unless it's time to eat) She has almost mastered sitting up by herself. she still needs a little help, but it won't be long until she is doing it all by herself like a big girl. She is still very interested in her fingers and toes. She always tries to suck on both. She also LOVES to pull the crap outta mommies hair. I got it cut really short thinking she couldnt pull it so easily anymore, but she still finds a way. She also cannot wear 6 months clothes anymore. I have 6-9 month sleepers for her and her little feet are @ the end. I have to go get some bigger ones. She is doing awesome with eating stage 1 baby food. Her favorite is sweet potatoes by far. she likes bananas, applesauce, prunes, carrotts, peas (she wasnt quite sure of those @ first) green beans (which mommy hates... the smell and all). So far she has pretty much liked everything she has gotten. We also still LOVE to have tubby time. Her newest thing is (we have a little play mat on the floor that she lays on and toys are above her head) pulling and swinging the toys around like a mad women. Sometimes she does it so hard I am afraid she's going to hit herself in the face. She slams those toys pretty hard. She also tries to grab mommy or daddy's can of soda that is in our hands towards her mouth. She ends up getting mad b/c we wont let her have it and starts to cry until we take it out of her sight. She is also chewing all the time now. she just chews all day long like she has something in her mouth. It is super cute. With those big cheeks of hers it almost looks like she stores food in her cheeks. HAHA.

Well we have our house all decorated for Christmas. She loves the x-mas tree and looking @ the lights. We also sing christmas carols to her and she things it's so funny. probably b/c mommy isnt good @ singing. Today I officially started our Christas shopping. I think we are going to get Adelyn one big toy that she can walk around when she gets older and a couple little ones and that's probably all. The rest of the money we are going to put into her saving account. Our girl is also SUPER ticklish. She just cracks up when we tickle her shoulders, stomach, feet, or legs. She full blown belly laughs now. It is too cute. She has such a personality and we love it. :)

well I had better get outta here. daddy is almost home and we are going to dinner w/ his parents. Until next time....

We are ready for the holidays!

Yeah so I am starting a little early with my little one, but the Christmas season is never long enough for me. I am so excited for thanksgiving to come and be with our family. I am even more excited for T-giving to come so the day after we can put up our xmas tree and decorations. I think Adelyn will LOVE the tree with all the pretty lights. Me, B, and Adelyn had a nice night in last night. We stayed home, made some puppy chow (yummy) ate popcorn, and watched Shrek the halls. What a cute movie. We are now starting to buy a bunch of the older xmas movies and cartoons for Adelyn to enjoy when she's a little older. Usually I dont get into the Christmas spirit until right before t-giving, but this year with having Adelyn I am sooo ready for it. I know she isnt going to know what is going on, but I am super excited.

Also I have an interview for a new position @ work in the billing office. I am (for some reason) pretty nervous for this interview. I think it is b/c I want the position so bad. Wish me luck?!?

Well as some of you know, i had to take Adelyn to the emergency room this past wednesday night. Bryan was in Chicago for a business meeting and I had to deal with a sick baby. I ended up taking her to the ER b/c she was vomiting everything I gave her including pedialyte. So i called my pediatrician and he told me to take her in. We got there and they checked her ears to make sure it wasnt an ear infection; it wasnt... then they did a chest xray to see if there was any blockage down there or pnemonia.. (i dont know how 2 spell that) and it wasnt that either. they came to the conclusion that it was a stomach virus that had been going around.. My poor baby cried and cried. I felt soooo helpless. I think i cried as much as she did. I didnt know what to do. It was scary doing it on my own for the 1st time ever. So wednesday night I didnt get ANY sleep. I didnt go to work either b/c she still wasnt good on Thurday. Friday was MUCH better. she still isnt 100 percent, but is almost there now. THANK GOD!~ i would soo rather be sick than her. I tried giving her applesauce again and this time was a sucess. she really liked it. well i had better go spend some time with my baby.

Fun weekend!

Well our babies 1st halloween has come and gone. we had a good time. Adelyn ended up being a lamb instead of the polar bear after all. I thought the lamb was cuter. 1st we started off by visiting my Gpa Chuck's house. he really enjoyed seeing her. we ran into Lucas, Nikki, and Austin (Prince Caspian) while we were there. I think my gpa was in heaven having his grandkids and great grandkids over. It was nice to catch up w/ him and of course miss Adelyn gave lots of smiles b/c she's a happy baby. Then we headed for my aunt Denices house. She gots lots of lovin over there. Uncle stan even held her. There is one thing i for sure think we did right with our child, she goes to anyone that wans to hold her. She doesnt cry when someone else besides me or Bryan hold her. And i am sooo glad she is a social/happy girl! :) after that we headed for B's dads house. he enjoyed seeing her. we wern't there for long b/c Bryan and I were starving. Then last we headed over to B's moms for a little super and miss Adelyn got a pumpkin full of baby food!! YUMMY! we didnt get to my parents house b/c they were in Georgia @ a wedding that weekend.
Adelyn also had a mile marker Saturday she fianlly rolled over. She rolled from her tummy to her back probably because she hates being on her tummy. she did it a couple more times and hasnt done it since. But we are in no hurry for her to be on the move. it will come soon enough. I cannot believe our baby is 4 months old already. I think she is starting to teeth also b/c she has been quite the fuss butt lately and is wanting to chew on EVERYTHING. we also bought her an exer-saucer this weekend and she loves that. we dont keep her in it too long just b/c she's so little.
last week we also had our 4 month shots. Adelyn did better than mommy did. i was in the corner with my hands over my eyes starting to get teary eyed. Then it was all over THANK GOD. she did really well.
well have also started her on fruits and veggies. we found out she doesnt like apple sauce, but she loves bananas!! well she should like bananas b/c i ate them and banana flavored popcicles throughout my whole pregnancy. I love those things. I couldnt get the bananas in her mouth soon enough.
this week is going to be lonely for Adelyn and I. Bryan is leaving for Chicago on Wednesday w/ work. He has to go, but we sure hate when he leaves. Bryan came home from work sat evening and walked past adelyn (my sister mary was holding her) and played w/ Bryson. Well miss Adelyn wasnt having that. she got a little upset that daddy didnt pay attention to her as soon as he walks in the door like he always does. she let him know too. It was cute. well I am off to class. i will post halloween pics a little later.

Wedding came quick and went quick

We had another BUSY weekend, but a very fun weekend. Bryan and I left for Michigan @ 6:00AM Friday morning. We left Adelyn with his mom for 3 days. That was tough. I knew she would be in good hands though. we both really missed her, but didnt have much free time to think about missing her b/c we were so busy from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Sherri said adelyn was happy as she always is. she slept well for her both nights. Friday night we had the rehersal which was quick bc it was so cold outside. Saturday was the big day. Ashley looked beautiful of course. She and Jason were soo happy. You could feel the love in the air. All of us had a great time. now we looking forward to them m0ving back her hopefully soon!!! YEAH!!!! Sunday we left a fairly good time b/c we were both anxious to get home to our baby. she was happy to see us. I took today off of work and it seems as if she wont let me put her down. when i have put her down she gets upset. Bryan had to work early this morning. Poor guy. we had a good time this weekend and we are both exhausted. I swear it's the driving that makes us tired. Bryan gets off @ 3:45 today just enough time to pass off the baby and time for me to head to class. Class is going good. It is definetly hard; which I expected. Well our next big thing is Friday night!! OUR BABIES 1ST HALLOWEEN!!! I am excited. I know she can't do much this year, but it'll still be fun. We have TONS of places to go. Although we wont see my parents this year b/c they are heading down for Georgia for a wedding of one of my dads old friends daughters wedding. that should be fun for them. We still have my gpas house, B's moms, Gpa and Gma Buxtons house, my aunts house, probably Kendalls house, Kendalls mommas house, my brothers and sisters. We are going to be SOOO busy!

When we got home last night we headed over to my parents for Bryson's 6th bday party. Boy that little boy sure has lots of people that love him. The amount of gifts he gets every year is awesome. He is such a good little guy. I cannot believe he is 6 already. it just seems like yesterday he was born and the only baby around. Now look @ our family. WOW

Miss adelyn has her 4 month shots on Wednesday. (brysons real bday) i have to work, but Bryan is off so i am going to meet him over there. I have lots of questions for the pedicatrican this time. We have also spoon fed her cereal a couple time and she LOVES it. i cannot feed her fast enough. She sure is growing like a weed. she is grabbing for things now and oof course they are going right for her mouth. well also had our family pics taken. she turned out well. well i had better go.. she is yelling for me. HAHA

So this weekend Adelyn had a blast with her friends. They slept together, had tubby time together, ate together, played on their tummy time mats together, layed on blankets and kicked eachother, watched baby Einstein together, went to tanners together, and went to a bonfire together. It was a really fun weekend. Adelyn and Ava are only 4 days apart so they are doing just about the same things. It is soo cool that they are so close in age. Now we are hoping they move back down here so we can spend ALOT more time with them. :) It was alot of fun to get our old group of friends back together as well. We talked and laughed about old times together.

We dont have too much going on this week. Just working, studying, and spending time with our baby. She is about to roll over. she is getting so close, but cannot get that other arm out from underneath her. But she's almost there. She is growing like crazy. She has such a little personality too. Being a mommy and wife are the best things that have ever happend to me.

In a couple weeks miss Adelyn will be staying the weekend with her Grandma and Grandpa Buxton. (b's parents) Bryan and I will be headed up to Michigan for Ashley's wedding. We are super excited about it. I really want Adelyn to come along, but poor Bryan wouldnt have any free time if we took her. Me being the matron of honor in her wedding will not be able to take care of her @ all. We are going to miss her like crazy, but she will be in good hands. She loves being @ grandma Sherri's house. I am really nervous about being away from her for 3 days, but I'm sure my time away will go quick condsidering we have LOTS of wedding stuff to do. Bryan shocked me last night b/c he was telling me how "stoked" he is about going up there. I think it'll be sooo fun. we love wedding; especially special ones like this one. I still have ALOT to do before we go. I have to pack both of us, get new tires on my car, get my last fitting for my dress, buy like 3 mega tans so i can be tan, get Adelyn packed for her weekend away from home, and the list goes on.

Halloween is also going to be SUPER busy for us. We have ALOT of people that want to see her in her costume. She looks so cute in her little outfit. She is such a good sport too. She doesnt mind @ all when mommy does funny things to do. like change her clothes 15 times until i find an outfit i love. HAHA. I love having a girl. :)

well I had better get going. Little miss needs my attention while daddy is out to dinner with some Sonic people.

Busy, Busy, Busy times

Our baby is growing like a weed. She loves to pay on a blanket on the floor and move all around. It won't be long until she rolls over. She amazes me everday! :) This past weekend miss Adelyn met yet ANOTHER friend; baby Jace. He is such a cutie. Kendall and I layed them down on the blanket and miss Adelyn grabbed his little hand right away. She's starting early! HAHA. I hope Adelyn grows up with Ava and Jace and they become/stay best friends forever. I hope she has long lasting friendships like I do. I cannot go a day without talking to Kendall or Ashley. Once you get older.. as most of us know.. you don't have as many friends as you did. So the few I have I try to keep close to my heart. and I want the same for Adelyn.

Anyways Friday night we went to an old car show @ Bryan's Sonic. Those are always fun. Quite a bit of my aunts and uncles and brothers and sisters attend those. So we always have a good time. Adelyn had to be bundled up really tight b/c it was cold outside.

Saturday we went to lunch w/ my aunts and cousins @ Kellahers. Everyone loved playing pass the baby. She met more cousins and got lovin from all. Then mom, Adelyn, and I went shopping. We got Adelyn a new outfit (of course) and mommy a couple new shirts. we had fun playing w/ mamo Terri for the day.

We are SUPER excited about this coming weekend. Friday the Murphy's come intown. We'll probably just hang out. Then Saturday we are going to Tanner's w/ the Murphy's (ash) and the Howard's (kendall). Poor Bryan misses all the good stuff. He has to work of course. We are super excited for all three babies to meet and hang out. I'm sure I will have LOTS of pics to post come next week. Then Saturday night we are going to the Buxton's (b's moms) for their annual bonfire. We will have more play time w/ our little friends there b/c they are coming along as well! :)

Busy weekend/next week

Adelyn had yet another friend born today. Our best friends Kendall and Kyle welcomed Jace Michael Howard into the world today 9-28-08 @ 10:37AM weighin in @ 7lbs 9 oz 19.5 inches long. Of course Bryan and I had to go up and see him today!! He is adorable. B and I think Jace looks like his mommy! he is soo adorable. The Howard's were on top of the world today. Kendall and i joked today that Jace and Adelyn will be ragaddy ann and andy next year for halloween. wouldn't that be cute? Kendall had a quick and pretty easy delivery she said. Mommy, baby, and daddy are doing awesome. (Jace and Adelyn are 3 months apart to the day)

Also miss Adelyn went to her first birthday party/bonfire Saturday night. Drew (Bryan's cousin) had his 5th bday party. LIttle Drewy is the cutest most respectful and well behaved lil guy i have ever seen. he opened up every single one of his gifts and hugged everyperson and said thank you. He is sooo sweet. Adelyn loved getting all the attention while we were there. She especially loved her aunt cindy. (bryan's dads sister in law) She is great w/ kids. We really had a good time roasting hod dogs and smores and spending time w/ the family. We don't get down to Emden, Il very often, but we try as much as we can.

On friday night Adelyn and I went over to grandma Sherri's and helped her decorate her walls! :) they remodeled their house and wanted some advice on where to put things. we had fun. I LOVE decorating even though i dont think I am very good @ it.

The week ahead is going to be a busy one. I am taking a medical coding class on Mondays now after work so that means i wont get home until about 7:30 :( i hate being away from my baby for almost a whole day, but i have to think about our future and making more money so we are able to provide more forher. I am super excited about the class. I was studying tonight and I dont think the class is goin to be easy for me. So i am going to have to hit the books a couple nights a week to pass the class and become a certified medical coder.

Halloweem costume

So we have finally decided that little miss Adelyn is going to be a polar bear for her 1st halloween. I REALLY wanted her to be a lil lamb, but after i bought THE LAST ONE i got it home and decided that I didnt like it that much on her and it was a little snug. & by the time halloween gets here a month from it probably won't fit her @ all. But all in all we are SUPER excited for her 1st halloween. We love showing our baby off! :)

Anyways, now I am back to work we have her on a wonderful schedule. She is asleep by about 9:30 everynight. and might I add she has been sleeping through the night for about 4 weeks now! Bryan and I always joke that we aren't having anymore kids b/c she has been such a good baby that our next one will probaly be terrible. But we for sure want 1 more atleast.

Adelyn's newest things are sucking on her hands, drooling all over all the time, watching every move Bryan or I make, and watching TV. she laughs when we turn her baby Einstein DVD on. She loves it. We also had our 1st trip to Tanners Orchard this year. We absolutely LOVE going out there. (I am sure we will go out there atleast 2 more times before winter hits.) Although lil miss slept the whole entire time. Oh well it will be funner next year.

Well she is out for the night so I had better head for bed as well.

Back to work

Well I have made it back to work and we are all doing fine. Monday morning was VERY tough for me when i dropped her off. Bryan picked her up and said Kimmy said she did wonderful. Said she slept most of the day. ( i think she's going through another growth spurt b/c she has been sleeping a ton) Tuesday-Friday Bryan takes her to the sitter and I pick her up. When i picked her up on Tuesday afternoon she was asleep and when she was brought upstairs she heard my voice popped her little eyes open and gave me a huge smile. That made me feel really good. :) I miss her terribly throughout the day and think of her often, but i have like 5 pics sitting out on my desk so i can see her every which way i turn. and of course ibrag about her allday everyday. I just love my little Tugar! :) Anyways, she is adjusting to her new schedule very well. I get off @ 3:30, pick her up about 3:45, we come home and cuddle and talk about our day (or i talk anyways & she tries to talk back to me) then we cook dinner, eat dinner, get tubby time (which she loves) and wind down. and before i know it, it is time for bed again and we start ALL over again. Since Bryan takes her 4 out of 5 mornings i dont get to see her awake in the AM & i miss that BIG TIME. she is the happiest baby in the mornings. I still go in and give her kisses before I go and try not to wake her up for daddy.

Anyways, on the 28th of this month she will be 3 months already. I CANNOT believe how time has flown by and how much she has grown already. My baby isnt sooo small anymore. But it is about time to get her 3 month pics soon. I can't wait. She did soo good @ her 2 week pics. She is so stinkin cute. (yeah i might be a little bias b/c she's mine) But she has brought so much joy to our lives. we couldnt imagine our lives w/o her. Everything we do is centered around her.

Lately Bella hasnt had much to do with her. she used to try to lick her head and sniff her all the time, but not much lately. she has been a little loner. I think she is feeling left out. Now she is back to being @ home all day by herself again after me and Adelyn being home for 12 weeks. So we have been trying to give her some attention. Well I had better get back to work.

Adelyn's 1st 2 months of life!

I thought we would start a blog so that our friends and family can watch Adelyn grow. Alot of girls from work have these and I thought it would be a great idea to start one for us. Adelyn is already 11 weeks old today!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!! time sure does fly by. I start back to work on Monday 9-15; which has been VERY hard for me. I never thought i would have this hard of a time letting someone else care for MY baby. I know this sounds selfish, but we want her all to ourselves. I don't want to have to let someone else take care of my baby all day while we're @ work... I want to! I must say, I am VERY grateful that i have been able to stay @ home w/ her the first 11 weeks of her life. This is seriously a time i will cherish for the rest of my life. Anyways.. back to her. She just stared this week to love tummy time. she lays on her tummy and lifts here little head up like crazy. she has to know what is going on all the time like mommy. haha i say she is nosey like me! She now belly laughs @ me everyday. she thinks my hair is the funniest thing ever. She is the happiest baby in the morning. she smiles all day long @ us. We have the best baby ever. She only cries when she is hungry or is getting sleepy. When she is sleepy she wants me or Bryan to cuddle with her. and i must add.. she looks just like my husband. I NEVER dreampt she would look like him. For some reason i had it in my head that she would look like a Peterson. All the rest of my 7 neices and nephews favor our side of the family in looks. But not this time. She totally looks like her daddy!! and let me tell you she is a daddys girl already. well we are off to my cousins cookout!!
